Dr. Don Beck is best known for his development of Spiral Dynamics — an outstanding “theory of everything” that reveals the complexity codes that shape human nature, create global diversity, and drive evolutionary change. As a seasoned political consultant on the front lines of resolving societal conflict, Dr. Beck has a unique insight into Brexit, the Trump candidacy, and the racial and political polarization currently dominating the world scene.
In this conversation with Evolutionary Collective founder Patricia Albere, Dr. Beck will share how “today’s ‘powder keg’ may become tomorrow’s ‘great awakening’.” They will look together at the nature of evolutionary patterns, and how it is possible to create a greater movement toward peace and wholeness through a shared vision of positive future possibility.
Listen LIVE on www.contacttalkradio.com, Tuesday, July 26th at 11am PST/2pm EST.
Dr. Don Beck is a leading global authority on value systems, societal change, and stratified democracy. In his extensive work as a teacher, geopolitical advisor, and theorist, he focuses on applications of large scale psychology, including social psychology, evolutionary psychology, organizational psychology and their effect on human sociocultural systems. He is the co-author of the “Spiral Dynamics” theory, an evolutionary human development model.
Beck brought the insights of Professor Clare Graves (Spiral dynamics) into the integral World. Ken Wilber based much of his work on that of Graves, as well as Beck’s practical and innovative applications in the real world.
Beck played a major role in preventing a civil war in South Africa over 65 self-funded trips to Johannesburg. Along with Elza Maalouf, they mapped out a strategy to defuse polarization in the West Bank and Maalouf wrote Emerge!, a book that describes how the Arab world(s) can emerge into a major statement for a Civilized World. Beck just returned from 11 days in London where he worked with members of the House of Lords in the design of a 21st Century, Magna Carta.
He is presently working with the Memnosyne Institute in Dallas to design a Vital Signs Monitor to detect, through Big Data and other information technologies, the patterns that predict the rise and fall of societies, as well as the trend lines for terrorism and other such early signs of emergence. Dr Beck has recently been described by a member of the Evolutionary Leaders, a group formed by Deepak Chopra, as a “brilliant scholar with his boots on the ground.”
